WEGs HAVE THEIR CAKE & GET FITTER

The WEGs hosted a Bake Off Competition. The girls utilised their culinary skills to create outstanding desserts.

These included an Ozzy crunch, blueberry muffins, vanilla cakes, choc chip muffins and two sumptuous cakes. The first was a heavenly chocolate cake made by WEGs leader Rahat. The second cake was an exceptional recreation of a Mary Berry cake by new member Amara. Faced with such gastronomical delights, the judges found the competition exceptionally tough!
The competition was based on presentation, taste and why that particular dessert  had been chosen. In third place was Azin with her dish of Kanefah.
The winner was Rahat with her chocolate Nutella cake.

The WEGS took part in their first ever fitness and dance session with instructor Fahima Iqbal, a 1V Community Champion Award nominee. The group chose to try out the hip hop style dance technique and danced to ‘Wild Thoughts’ by Rihanna.

The girls were extremely energetic at the beginning of the lesson and became increasingly co-ordinated as the session progressed. WEGS member Azin even impressed her peers with some ad hoc cartwheels. The girls split into small groups to perform the routine and concluded that the most adept dancer in the group is Zainab!
