One Voice has acted as consultants for health care and education providers to make their organisations ‘culturally appropriate’ for the local community.
One Voice was a key partner of Community Integrated Care in the launch of EachStep Blackburn, a brand new, state-of-the-art, £4.8 million care service that specialises in supporting people with dementia.
One Voice has supported Community Integrated Care in ensuring the their new dementia care service was inclusive to all sections of the Blackburn and Darwen community.
One Voice helped to raise awareness of the new service, as well as support plans on key issues such as recruitment, volunteering and food provision as well as incorporating Asian heritage into the sports and entertainment area of the building and a place of prayer and reflection.
The organsisation conducted a number of tours for the Community Integrated Care staff into the community, as well as introducing other key representatives from the community.
Neil Matthewman, Chief Executive of Community Integrated Care, said: “We regard One Voice as a key partner, as we planned and developed our EachStep Blackburn specialist dementia care home. Like our charity, One Voice believe in bringing communities together and making a difference to society. We look forward to achieving great things together.”
One Voice also act as marketing consultants for Blackburn College, carrying out research into educational needs of the local community.
One Voice has conducted research and community engagement with East Lancashire Hospitals Trust, East Lancashire CCG, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Lancashire Care Foundation Trust, Humraaz Refuge, and many others.
