The WEGs visited Edinburgh and explored the stunning Scottish capital.

The first stop was the stunning Edinburgh Castle

The trip was packed full of historical exploration and fun. The WEGS had a fabulous time at the Camera Obscura and World of Illusions where they ventured through five floors jam-packed with over 100 illusions and saw amazing rooftop views of Edinburgh.

The WEGs saw stunning exhibitions from the Royal Collection, featuring old master paintings, rare furniture, decorative arts and images at the Queen’s gallery.

The girls loved the joys of Camera Obscura

The next stop for the WEGs in Edinburgh was the Scottish Parliament building followed by a journey of discovery through the history of Scotland at the National Museums Scotland.

WEGs member Hafsah said,

“The trip to Edinburgh was a fun and enjoyable experience for us. During the week we did many interesting and interactive activities such as a mirror maze and the national Scotland Museum. This experience was a fun adventure.”

Sara Hussain also expressed her thorough enjoyment of the visit.

“There are so many words I could say to describe this trip, so many sentences to write and many memories to share.

“From all the laughter, late-night sing alongs and jumping in pools to the educational signs, landmarks and information boxes, crossing roads and most of all, the ‘effortless’ walking.

“It was a once in a lifetime trip, which I was lucky to have been a part of.

“Edinburgh has been a fabulous experience and if I ever had the opportunity, I would definitely visit with WEGs again.”
